The Electrathon race car pictured is the first effort by the Middleton High School Academy AIAA Student Branch and the Academy of Aeronautics & Astronautics Electrathon Racing Team (the Flying Tigers).  The main sponsor of the car was the MA3 AIAA Student Branch, AIAA, and Lockheed Martin Space Systems. Members of the team were from the AIAA Student Branch and the Aerospace Technology classes.

Currently the car is undergoing some safety modifications to the original design, such as: the addition of hydraulic disc brakes, adding shock absorbers to the front suspension, replacing the steering wheel, and widening the rear axle.

In its original configuration the car was running 60 volts with 105 amp/hr to a 24-72 volt ETEK motor. Coupled with the seven sprockets on the rear axle the 034 car was able to hit 43 mph around the Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola.
